EMES Research Network
Professor Rory Ridley-Duff was a committed member of the EMES International Research network. In 2018, he became co-ordinator of a workgroup in the EMPOWER-SE project to invest in the next generation of social enterprise scholars.
In 2019, co-chaired the EMES International Research Conference on Social Enterprise with Professor Marthe Nyssens. The conference theme was:
Sustainable development through social enterprise, co-operative and voluntary action
The EMES International Research Network organized the conference in partnership with the FairShares Institute for Cooperative Social Entrepreneurship (FSI) and Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University. The conference took place on June 24-27, 2019, at Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom (UK), part funded by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology).
The aim of this conference was to be a meeting place for scholars from across the globe who have developed contributions to scholarship on the social and solidarity economy, social entrepreneurship, social innovation, cooperative development and voluntary action.
